Church Leadership & Staff

The Rev. Laura Bachmann, Pastor
An Episcopalian by birth and a Presbyterian by choice, I am drawn to God’s call to gather in community as the priesthood of all believers, Christ’s body in the world. I am sustained by the deep sense of God’s abiding presence, by the call to live in solidarity with our neighbors, and by the desire to live out my faith in the concrete ways Jesus commands in Matthew 25: to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, give drink to the thirsty, welcome the stranger, and visit the sick and imprisoned. It is my joy to travel with this community of believers, each of us finding our way in a broken world, forgiving one another, offering compassion and care, sharing wisdom and a word of truth. I believe that each of us is beautifully made in God’s image and all are welcome at God’s table. As a new way of being church unfolds before us, I look forward to finding out where the Holy Spirit will lead us next.

Debbie White, Junior Choir Director
A former General/Instrumental Music teacher, Debbie has been a church staff member for many years and loves to get updates on her junior choir friends from times gone by! She and her husband Dennis enjoy reading, camping, traveling and delicious food, but most of all they look forward to spending time with their three grown children and much-loved grandchildren.

Andy Pratt, Pianist
Andy spends his days as the Vocal Director at the Aquinas Institute, his non-COVID evenings as the resident musical director at Blackfriars Theatre, and Sundays as the Music Minister at South Presbyterian. He has been a singer since birth, a pianist since age 7, a guitarist since age 12, and can play the harmonica part of “Piano Man.” He is the proud father of two young women, Ellie (11) and Lucy (nearly 9), as well as step-dad to Eloise (17) and husband to Elizabeth. They are all huge fans of musical theatre/Broadway, New York City, and Disney World. His non-musical hobbies include model railroading (and anything train-related) and LEGO.

Evan Mikoll, Video Live Stream Director
Evan is a Buffalo-area native with a BS degree in Communication from Medaille College.   He is currently working as the Media Production Coordinator at Nazareth College, and will be working part-time here at GPC leading the production of our on-line worship services.  We’re very confident that he brings an expertise that will help us evolve the recording and streaming capability of our church into very new and exciting directions.
