Mustard Seed Scholarship

In 1997, the Mustard Seed Scholarship fund was established with a very generous donation from longtime member and dedicated youth advisor Frank Roberts. The purpose of the Mustard Seed Scholarship Program is to make a substantial financial contribution toward the higher education of a deserving youth who has been active in the life of the church. Higher education is defined as being post-High School (either college or trade school).

In 2001, the fund had grown to the point where the Mustard Seed Committee felt that limited awards from the fund could begin.  Subsequent bequests from Frank’s estate along with gifts and memorial donations from many others since the fund was established total $105,000. With the awards made in 2025, Mustard Seed Scholarship Funds have awarded to 34 of our GPC youth and total $128,000.

The continued generosity of donors and  care in stewardship of the fund will assure that Mustard Seed Scholarships are available to GPC youth for years to come.
