Church Mouse Bazaar
Gates Presbyterian Church and the organizers of the Church Mouse Bazaar have very carefully reviewed the current New York State COVID-19 reopening guidelines as well as the CDC Readiness and Planning Tool for Events and Gatherings as they apply to the 2020 Church Mouse Bazaar.” Due to the degree of health risk, the complexity of the reopening requirements, and the shortage of sufficiently trained staff, we have come to the sad conclusion that we will not be able to hold the bazaar as scheduled on November 21, 2020. We did not make this decision lightly. The seventy-six crafters that have already signed up will have their fees returned along with a letter explaining our decision and offering hope for next year’s bazaar. We believe that this decision is in the best interests of our crafters, local communities and our church.
The Church Mouse Bazaar, always held the Saturday before Thanksgiving, is the longest running arts and crafts show in the area. In the beginning, church members made items to sell. Now, after more than 40 years, we have crafters from all over the community looking forward to showing off their creativity by selling their handcrafted wares. We fill the church with more than 80 tables of arts and crafts from more than 50 crafters. We have included a baked food sale and an extensive snack bar. Every year there are unique gifts to be purchased – for you and for holiday presents! Admission is always FREE with plenty of parking!
